5 Guilty Pleasures Now Playing On Satellite Tv
For most people who watch even a little bit of TV, there is bound to be a guilty pleasure on the air for you, the type of show you don’t want anyone to know you’re watching but can’t change the channel when it hits the screen. Satellite TV networks bring you more than any other format. Check out these five extremely guilty pleasures.
1. Cheaters, G4. Anyone who has happened upon this show knows the true meaning of guilty pleasure. The cuckolded partners of unfaithful lovers bear their heart to the show’s producers and allow them total access to track the movements of the offenders in question. Next, the damaged party is brought along while a cheating rendezvous is in full swing. You’ll see the whole gamut of emotions running through the victim, making this show one of the most exploitative on the air, yet one that is hard to stop watching.
2. The Jersey Shore, MTV. If this is reality, most people will be happy to live in a fictional world. Nonetheless, there is something hypnotic about this wild gang cutting loose in South Jersey all summer long. Whether it’s the Situation’s swagger, his roommate’s hairdo, or Snookie’s strange predilections, The Jersey Shore has horrified and entertained an equal amount of people. One of the shows you don’t want to discuss while meeting with your boss, it is difficult to get any guiltier a pleasure on satellite TV than this.
3. Curb Your Enthusiasm, HBO. For some reason, Larry David can make everyone feel guilty. His wife, his friends, his co-workers and – most of all himself – get a piece of the action no matter what is going on. Somehow, this feeling translates itself to the viewer, with the guilt truly going full circle. There is a lot of fun to be had, too, and check out Larry’s old Seinfeld crew with your satellite TV On-Demand service.
4. Keeping Up with the Kardashians, E! Khloe and Kourtney had their own show in Miami for a while, but it seemed like nothing could top the madness of the entire family. The Kardashians are never shy about showing the world what’s really going on in their lives, so much so that many question the reality of this world. Could Khloe’s boyfriend be so cold and insensitive? Whatever happened to Olympic hero Brice Jenner (and why isn’t he allowed to carry his own bank card)? Such question make this satellite TV series a riot every episode we get.
5. Gossip Girl, CW. Again, life in this world is so preposterous at times that there is little contact with reality. At the very least, it has the ‘non-reality TV’ label going for it. Intrigue comes in all shapes and sizes on this CW HD teen soap, which revolves round the private lives of a group of privileged youths on New York’s Upper East Side. Bluffing their way through classes and trying to get the upper hand on any given night seems to be the modus operandi of this crew.

Gossip Girl is a fun drama TV series based on the novel series of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar and published by Little, Brown and Company, a subsidiary of the Hachette Group.
The first novel, Gossip Girl, was released in April 2002; the eleventh and final novel of the series was released in May 2007, with a prequel novel following in October 2007.
The original novel became the inspiration for the Gossip Girl teen drama television series, created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, which premiered on The CW on September 19, 2007.
In the show, Blake Lively plays Serena, Leighton Meester plays Blair, Chace Crawford plays Nate, Penn Badgley plays Dan, Ed Westwick plays Chuck, Taylor Momsen plays Jenny and Jessica Szohr plays Vanessa. The show is based on the books but does not follow the same story line. However, there are some key characters, such as Aaron Rose or the Lord, that are introduced into the show, as in the books, but with a different storyline.
The series revolves around the lives of privileged teenagers attending an elite private school in New York City's Upper East Side. They may live privileged lives, but someone amongst their group is always busy blogging about their dirty little secrets - the problem is they don't know who has been betraying them.
Every episode begins with the blog page of the Gossip Girl's blog with Serena's picture from the pilot episode. Afterwards a recap of events relevant to the upcoming narrative is shown, which ends again with the blog page, only this time with a picture from other character(s) with a text about a recent event connected with the picture.
The narrator is always the Gossip Girl, voiced by Kristen Bell. She begins the recap with the sentence: "Gossip Girl here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite.", and usually ends the episode with "X.o.X.o Gossip Girl". The pilot episode is designed as the whole storyline is guided by Gossip Girl. The scenes are switched fast and Gossip Girl adds comments all the time.
However in the later episodes, often Gossip Girl tells literary quotes and doesn't involve in the conversations of the characters with dirty and juicy comments. Also, excluding the movement of the storyline in the pilot and the first couple of episodes the rest of the episodes follow the regular movement. For example in the first episodes Gossip Girl used to say: I wonder what she is doing or let's see what he is doing and the scenes would fast move to the mentioned character.
Gossip Girl initially received mixed reviews. Due to the show's pedigree as an adaptation of the New York Times bestselling novel series, the show was considered to be one of the more anticipated new shows of the 2007-2008 television seasons. The Parents Television Council has had many problems with Gossip Girl over the years. In Season 1, for the underage drinking, drugs, and sex. Although it was milder in Season 2, the ads and the campaign to promote season 2 sparked much controversy. The campaign involved pictures of four of the main characters in controversial poses. The PTC's response to season 3 was stronger than ever. The ninth episode of the season included a sexual threesome that lasted through the 10th episode via a series of flashbacks. The PTC said this was, "irresponsible and reckless"

Why is there not any diversity on the new 90210?
Does anyone else feel bothered by the fact that there is no diversity on the new 90210? I mean common, why are there so many shows on TV that showcase White kids, privilege and wealth?! *sighs*
They had the AUDACITY to have a Black actor on the show that doesn't even have a Black family! *sighs*
There aren't any Asians, African Americans, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, East Asian and Latino people on the show.
If they were going to make the only Black character adopted by a White family and a jock, the creators could have just left him off the show all together.
And, of course the CW has an upcoming show titled PRIVILEGED! I mean, damn, is it too hard to ask for diversity?!
Do you see my avatar name?
And, could you please show me where there is diversity on the show?
BTW, I watched the first episode and haven't watched it since.
I no. I was thinkin the same thing. Putting one black character who gets adopted by a rich white family doesn't make a show diverse. Still a very good show though.
