UN46B8500 bought from Amazon, shipped from Amazon CEVA. We use free shipping, but it came faster than we thought, about a week. We were concerned about the removal of the old 27 "TV, heavy, and the whole process of installing a new TV. Guy, who said (CEVA), Owen, was wonderful. He turned off the TV and moved the old road. Spojil Stand (slow process, because it was a little more plastic, which caused it is not appropriate for the TV properly, and spent 20 minutes carefully scrape out some time to adjust). He lay down on our TV stand. I told him how we want to include (as we wanted directly to our receivers) and made all connections, including your DVR, DVD and CD player. make sure that everyone is working correctly. He showed me how to use the remote control and how basic settings, and how to switch resources. Overall, it was an hour, I think it's Call of Duty. With regard to TV, the picture is fantastic. I really see a big difference between standard and HDTV and HDTV image is much strong, but it seems that the light colors. We can not be more pleased with the TV and our experience with Amazon and CEVA.

Best Picture Quality out there!
I have owned this TV for about a month now and all I can say is I am glad I spent a little extra money on this TV. I did extensive research online and in person trying to find the best product out there and I am convinced that this was the right decision.
It is very easy to setup. It actually took more time to screw on the base/stand than it did to connect and configure the TV.
I saw this same model retailing for $3500 and I thought that was ridiculous, but when I saw it on Amazon for $1999 I had to jump at that offer. It was worth every penny. From HD cable to PS3 games and Blu-Rays, this TV provides amazing clarity and picture quality. I know most people won't bother, but I found some calibration settings online and customized some of the picture settings to, what I feel, optimize it's quality. A simple google search for "UN46b8500 calibration" will provide numerous options to get the most out of your TV.
I have very few negative things to say about this TV. First, like I am sure you have read, the remote control is pretty crappy. It looks nice and it lights up when you go to use it (and unfortunately whenever there is any slight movement in the room which causes the batteries to die quickly). It isn't as responsive as I would like to, especially when using it with your PC with DLNA. This pretty much allows me to watch any video I have on my PC streaming, or look at all of my pictures or listen any music I have on my PC. That feature is great, but the remote makes it slow and frustrating. But still, it is a nice feature. This also came with a smaller remote that looks more like a computer mouse mixed with an iPOD. But I didn't even bother with it. It still sits with all the manuals and paperwork that I got with the TV.
I hear about the sound quality being poor from the TV as well. The sound is adequate, but isn't anything special. If you want quality sound, you will need to get a home theater system, just like every other TV on the market.
Lastly, I bought this TV because Samsung was going in the right direction with regards to making the the best picture producing TV's on the market. This series is basically an exclusive chance to get the local LED dimming. Samsung was in the process of using the best technology to make the best TV's, but now they are catering to the 3D crowd and putting their resources into making things come off the screen with glasses instead of worrying about picture quality. So, if you can find this model for around $2,000, I would say buy it ASAP as they won't be around much longer.

Best Picture I Have Ever Seen
That is a statement coming from someone who until recently, was never happy with his current TV.
If your budget allows, do yourself a favor & buy this set. After months of research & debating whether or not to spend the $, I finally made the decision to purchase & am beyond happy that I did.
When first hooking up the TV, I scanned the guide to see what CGI movies were on - came to Horton Hears A Who. In HD, this movie honestly had Blu-ray picture quality. Certain images look so perfect that they appear to be 3D. I also recently paired the TV with the Samsung HT-C6730W & watched Avatar - Flawless. Something as simple as the motion in the opening menus of Transformers 2 and James Bond Quantum of Solace (both Blu-ray) on this set compared to a 120hz LCD is definitely noticeable. To me, it was a great example of how detailed the TV really is.
CNET's review states it best - "Samsung's local dimming, LED-based UNB8500 series delivers the best picture quality of any LCD we've tested ... you can remember it best as the king of LCD ..."
I could not be happier with the UN46B8500 and absolutely recommend it.

Picture good, TV good, all good.
I'm not going to spend too long reviewing the TV as I believe it's been discontinued due to a patent infringement. I'm sure the new 9000 range is even better though, so treat this as "Samsung TV" review.
The picture is amazing! Fantastic quality, and really deep blacks - that will be the regional LED's at work. The set up is simple, I am running an xbox through it, so just one HDMI input for me. I also hooked the TV on the web so I could use the extras. They all work fine, but with the xbox providing me will all most amazon on demand, netflix functionality, etc. I don't really use the Samsung ones. The sound is acceptable, but now I have a really nice TV, I think I'll upgrade to a decent sound system as well.
The TV itself looks fantastic, it is so slim. The stand is also pretty slim too. I like the fact the plastic around the screen is kept simple and pretty thin. The TV's that have a lot of extra 'box' around the actual screen size just seem like a waste to me.
In summary, it was an excellent purchase that I am very pleased with. I have purchased a Samsung monitor in the past and have always been pleased with their products. Their quality can rival that of the Sony's without the extra price tag.

Ps3 Consoles - Slim Big As A 80S Movie Player But Not Bad
Been a 360 fan for years. Never thought I would grab a PS3 Consoles but now that it had a few games and a cheaper price and would fit with my other home theater equipment I figured I would grab one.
I own a 52" sony bravia 1080p tv that I hooked this up to. I used the best hdmi cable set all the settings to where they need to be on the console and now heres my review.
Build quality
Far better built than my 360 nicer looking but a little to big they may have slimmed it but its still large. It has alot of nice features in the hardware department bluray wireless bluetooth etc. This is all great but it doesn't make up for its lack of other important things.
Software
Theres a few games that are worth a purchase here nothing as good as 360 library in quantity. Quality isn't a problem they just need more. The menu system is awful compared to 360 its a mess. Its much more advanced and home isn't to bad it beats 360 avatars and there online pricing is better at the store.
Bluray
I really don't get it at all. I watched spider man and to be honest there wasn't the same wow factor as to when I watched king kong on hddvd.It just didn't compare maybe because I'm used to hd now or maybe it just isn't that great the sound is outstanding tho.
Stuff that really pisses me off
The stupid thing throws me out of full pixel mode on my tv when playing certain games and I figure it may be due to the PS3 Consoles not upscale games to 1080p my 360 never had that problem. Voice chat sucks I cant get together with people as easy as 360.No in game music which is really stupid.
Its worth 300 but no more than that. If you want a better software experience and online go 360 altho you have to pay it just works.
If you want nice hardware better picture quality and more advanced tweaking opertunities go PS3 Consoles
