Film/TV jobs in Ireland?

Ok, I know the credit crunch is EVERYWHERE, and I'm here in Los Angeles, just graduated with a film/tv production/writing degree, and....there are no jobs. I know I can get a 12 month work visa for Ireland, but I'm having a hard time finding any sites to see if jobs are available. Obviously I'd like to work within my field, but at this point I will take anything. I'm most likely applying for grad school with a start date of Sept 2010 in London, though I am looking in other countries as well, perhaps even Ireland. =] I've worked for 2 months [internship] in London for Film London, and I have wanted my entire life to live in Ireland for at least a little while, so I thought I would at least look into it. Hopefully you guys can tell me if it's at all possible to get a job if I get myself a 12 month work visa....I'll take anything, like I said. Thanks much =]

p.s. i also have extensive theatre experience. =]

Fair City - they're always looking for people

No seriously your best bet is to contact RTÉ (National Broadcaster) or TV3 which are the main television stations in Ireland

Should I go to England for an internship?

My college is offering 25 people the chance to spend a month in London to do an internship with different companies. Ranging from "Shots"( a magazine over there), to numerous PR companies, a film production company, and many other things.

It costs $5k, and I have to submit my application before January 18.

I'm getting 4 majors. Spanish, Russian, Arabic, and Japanese(I want to be a translator). I will have to transfer from my current school to get three of these degrees however. I think it would be great for my resume to have this international internship on it. I can take out a student loan for it.

What do you think? Should I apply?

Honestly, it will be the best decision of your life. I studied abroad last year in france and loved it so much. Now, again I am living in France for a year then will move to belgium so I can get a european bach degree. Its such an awesome experience and it looks amazing on a resume. Who cares if you spend a fortune (which you will in england) because you'll easily earn all that money back once you find a nice job. Really, an internship abroad will be like nothing else. Plus you learn so much about the world and you will completely change your outlook on life once you see things from a different perspective. A thousand times "do it." Good luck.. and England is an amazing country btw ;)
