Why some Regional Asian Channels like HBO and Star Movies, have to cut scenes of the movies?
why HBO and Star Movies, and other regional Pay-TV Channels in Asia, have cut some disturbing scenes on TV and on Movie Channels, I'm From the Philippines and I experience this watching Movies and tv programmes on Cable TV that are been cut some disturbing scenes. I want to watch a complete TV Show or Movies on TV from beginning to end in Perfect timing without any Cut scenes. Why the whole Asia is Affected by this Media Censorship,on Pay-TV ? is it Singapore (The Media Capital of Asia), want all TV programs from Pay-TV networks to be censored to the public?
You are lucky, my boyfriend is Asian, and in America they don't allow any romantic or sexual scenes of Asian men. None! All censored.
We have to buy a foreign DVD to see it and even that has to be imported. No local stores will carry them.

Ignorant people in Filipino showbusiness! This is my peeve! What the heck is Half-American?
I've watched plenty of Filipino variety shows, soap, etc. What I don't get is why they call some contestants and some movie stars half Americans. What the heck is half American? As far as I know everyone in America came from or had past generations come from other countries. Unless of course, they are natives/indigenous. Anyway, I'm sick of hearing half Filipino and half American. One of their parents must have lived in America or came from America. Their confusing Americans as just being Caucasian or white. Half white and half Filipino = Half American and half Filipino.
I have 2 siblings who were born in the U.S., so they are Americans. But their ethnicity is Filipino. If they go to the Philippines they are just Filipino--not Americans. So stupid! What do you guys think? Whether you're Filipino or not--any thoughts about this issue?
Yeah its not so clear to use half American unless one parents was born in America and the other was born in some other country. This does happen just here. Usually in other countries they perceive whites and blacks to be American, they forget we had natives here first, and forget there are other types of people in the US that are also American. I guess hopefully with time people here and abroad will truly understand that Americans come from different backgrounds not just white or black.
