the young ones boring
Why do people usually say whites are boring?

most of my white friends(I'm mestizo btw) are kinda like the guys from jackass. just a bunch of douchebag frat boy skaters.most whites in my school that are my age(18) are usually just like steve-o or knoxville.we take the time to do all our school work and study. i understand many people who are in their 60's and go to church at 7 am like my grandma are boring but why do young whites get thrown into this category?one of my good friends who was eastern Asian was really boring (95 average btw)but the other asian Americans were just like my other friends.my English teacher is like 25 and hes a really cool dude who used to have his own punk band.my other teacher is like in his 40's who is a big sports nut and he's always making the class laugh.is my school stuck in the twilight zone or do people stereotype Asians and whites too much?

Probably because this is America, and being white in the norm. In China, Chinese are boring; in Africa, blacks are boring.

It's just how it is

Soccer Drills - Teaching Young Soccer Players How to Defend

Soccer is a game about field position and possession and being able to defend effectively is a key element for each of these factors. There are four key elements that I have found to teaching young soccer players to defend effectively. Footwork is a key factor in getting young soccer players to defend effectively. Together with knowing when to commit to a tackle and when to hold position I find these are the two vitals elements to having a strong defence. These factors, I combine with knowing where the danger zones are on the field, and communicating with each other in order to create an impenetrable defence. I do not promote playing boring soccer with lots of players behind the ball, but if you can defend effectively then your team will be able to play the ball further up the field, thus creating more attacking opportunities.

Footwork is a key element in teaching young soccer players to defend effectively. There are two things that I focus on with my young soccer players in relation to their footwork. The first of these is to never get caught with their feet square. They should always defend with one foot in front of the other, and with one shoulder in front of the other. They must also never be caught flat footed. This means that they should always be on their toes in a defensive situation. This allows them to react much more quickly to what the attacking player does in front of them. It is also vital that they do not get caught with both feet off the ground at the same time, as this makes it almost impossible for them to change direction or react quickly.

Players must learn when to commit to a tackle and when to hold their position and wait for an opportunity. Players must only commit to a tackle when the odds are in their favour of winning the ball. This usually means that they are closer to the ball than what the attacker is. Until this happens they should jockey for position and maintain a distance of about 1 meter between themselves and the attacker. This will give them enough reaction time to stay with the attacking player. Players must watch the ball at all times. This will lessen the ability of an attacker to fake them into committing to a tackle at the wrong time. The ball is the critical element, not the feet, hips or shoulders of the attacking players. Teach your defenders to watch the ball at all times. I also encourage players to stay on their feet when defending as much as possible. There is a time and place for a slide tackle, but a player that is off their feet cannot react as quickly as a player who is on their feet.

Teach your players where the danger zones are on the field. Defenders must position themselves on the field to push the attack towards the sidelines and away from the goal mouth. Teach them how to position in front of an attacker to encourage the attacker to move into a less attacking area of the field.

The key to any successful defence is communication. In my junior teams I always find my defence much stronger where I have a strong communicator playing in the sweeper or centre back role. Communication starts at training. Whenever you conduct drills at training ensure that you are not the one doing all the talking. Make sure that there is plenty of talk amongst your players. What they do on the training paddock they will take onto the field.

So the four keys to creating a strong defence are teaching your players correct footwork, making sure they understand when to commit to a challenge, helping them understand the danger areas on the field and how to keep attackers away from them, and making sure they communicate with each other. Your defensive drills should encourage development of these four key areas, in order that you will have a strong defence.

A Bore Draw When Two Times Zero Equals One

The French have rather an appropriate expression for a football game that ends in a draw – “match nul”. And that just about sums up the general sentiment after France’s opening 0-0 non-thriller against Romania at Euro 2008.

With the Netherlands thrashing World Cup holders Italy 3-0 in the so-called “Group of Death’s” other game, perhaps the most comfort French coach, Raymond Domenech, can take from the result is that at least his team didn’t lose and managed to come away with one point.

“I knew this group would be very complicated,” he commented afterwards. “We have to bounce back. There are two more matches and six points for the taking,” he added.

Good on Domenech for not resorting to the usual footballing clichés or stating the blindingly obvious that might have escaped the attention of the millions of armchair fans here who turned on their televisions early Monday evening and tuned in to watch Les Bleus superbly underperform.

From start to finish the game was sheer drudgery, with the French mix of young stars and established quality internationals unable to break down the defences of a Romanian team that added little to the game and seemed content to come away with a point.

All right, so captain Patrick Vieira and striker Thierry Henry were both sidelined through injury, but Domenech was still able to field a crop of young players who would make many a national team selector drool in anticipation. Karim Benzema, Franck Ribéry, Jérémy Toulalan - on paper at least they promised to deliver.

They didn’t. And much of the blame surely has to lie fair and square with the man at the helm – Domenech himself.

His appointment as a successor to Jacques Santini after France lost in the quarterfinals of Euro 2004 to the eventual winners Greece raised more than a few eyebrows among both fans and players. And his management style and tactical strategies have often been less than convincing since he took over.

Domenech’s good fortune has been that his reign has been blessed with a generation of talent - not least one of the game’s greats, Zinedine Zidane, who has now sadly hung up his boots.

Although France struggled to make the 2006 World Cup in Germany, Domenech managed to guide them through to the final before famously losing to Italy in a penalty shoot-out – a result that relieved much of the pressure from the manager’s shoulders and secured the renewal of his contract with the French Football Federation.

The 56-year-old former international (he was capped eight times for his country) has not been shy of courting controversy in some of his decisions. To the bemusement of many fans, he has refused to select – seemingly almost on a whim - international stars still very much in their prime such as striker David Trezeguet or winger Ludovic Giuly.

And he earned the wrath of former Chelsea coach José Mourinho by calling up Claude Makélélé into the squad, in spite of the veteran midfielder’s “retirement” from international football. Mourinho accused Domenech of treating the player “like a slave”.

His tactics once again came in for rigorous questioning in qualification for Euro 2008. France booked their place as runners-up in their group to Italy but along the way twice suffered defeats to Scotland – hardly a powerhouse by any stretch of the imagination in international football.

Simply put though Monday’s result will have disappointed many who had widely tipped the World Cup runners up to go far in this tournament. Sure it’s not over yet and yes, there are two games remaining.

But Domenech’s head is on the block yet again and six points from two games against the Netherlands and Italy would seem something more than wishful thinking.

what should i do , young single bored male?

i got a letter that said this from my boss.
i
I am really disappointed that we have seen no significant change in behavior or attitude. Let me summarize the three meetings. The first took place last July – you were scoring low on your exams in Chicago the feedback from the instructors was that you were not engaged in the class. We made it very clear that we need a well rounded employee that is one who is technically proficient and socially adept in understanding and explaining our products. Jill & I met with you to discuss one annoying issue and two major issues. You have a problem getting to work on time and you run out the door at 5.
What should I do, I work in extremley conservative issue. People are 20 years older then me in my office. Many are fat and divorce. I am young single and a male. People in the office are not interesting. So i dont interact much with them. Plus my second boss is intesne micrmanger drives me nuts. What should I do to keep my job?

well first improve your work ethic They can't just come out and say it but! Damn it go the extra mile! or find another job!
don't leave Right at 5 pm get there early... Never say that's not my job... help the old fat people out with there lack of knoweldge in the computer lingo... Your job isn't about he people it's about the job! so don't go have coffee with them if they are not interesting! that's why you make friends out of the office!
and if your there taking a class and your not engaged why would you be there in the first place!
seems to me you don't like your job and you don't want to be there! find a job that you like and you won't feel like it's such a big deal to go the extra mile!
Coping.org may help you soul search and find out what you want!
Money isn't it either you want friends! so maybe you need to go into a feild where people are young and still party try taco bell i hear most employyes there party like highschool kids but heck it beats working an 8-5 job where you are required to show something for the company.. have you tried being a DJ wait your not on time you won't get the job! never mind!
See that's what i do on air i talk to people and i work with well a very creative crowd to say the very least!
and i go the extra mile because i like my job. even though i get little kids calling me all the dang time!

time to own up for your actions.. and be a responsable adult!
or live in the past and be well i think you get the idea!
