How can I get in UCLA Film School?

Hi, my name is Tyler Thompson. When I was a kid, everyone asked me what I wanted to be. I never knew what I wanted to be until now. I am 14 years old by the way. And I want to get in UCLA Film School to be an actor/movie writer. And maybe Director too. I am writing two movies right now and hopefully will make it big time. And when i am done writing these movies, i have a lot more ideas for movies too. But i live in Phoenix, AZ and i was wondering what i have to do to get in, this has been my dream since i was 13, when i first noticed i can write.

Get great grades, do very well on the SAT and write a letter to the dean of the film school, telling him of your love for the cinema, and why you think you would be an asset to the UCLA film school. Also send in one of your movies on DVD format; the dean may play it and see a young Spielberg in you.

USC has a fine cinema school, as well. George Lucas, David Lynch and Ron Howard attended there.

Old Tucson Studios is another attraction that is more than worth a visit. A film set replica of the old city of Tuscon, this wondrous attraction was built in 1939 to ape the city of Tuscon as it was in the 1860s for the movie Arizona. Since then it has played host to a great number of Westerns and to actors such as Bing Crosby, Ingrid Bergman and Jimmy Stewart. 125 miles to the south of Phoenix, it is a real experience to see and speak of. 

Of course, the Grand Canyon is not the only remarkable geographical feature of Arizona. Aside from the Grand Canyon there are also several other canyons and two craters of varying provenance. Sunset Crater, created in 1100 AD as the result of a volcanic eruption, is one for the geography buffs while Meteor Crater, as the name suggests, is believed to have been created by a meteor colliding with the Earth. Both are well worth visiting.
