How Movies Effectively Brainwash Us

Did you know that movies are one of the best brainwashing tools available?

Movies are such a powerful brainwashing tool that the American government has outlawed the insertion of hidden advertisements into the movie reel. Watch Hannah Montana: The Movie Online Free

Theaters used to splice the movies with advertisements for soda and popcorn into the films, to encourage movie goers to buy more condiments.

Ads appeared for a fraction of a second, a duration to short to actually see, but a duration long enough to register in our subconscious.

Movies effectively guide our decision making by promoting the coolness of a manner of speaking, walking, and even our lovemaking.

How many of us without realizing base our decisions on the actions of an actor in a movie.

Many social commentators even attribute criminal actions to the actions of criminals seen in movies.

Even when a movie does not directly influence our decision making process, it can still have a very strong indirect effect. Watch Hannah Montana: The Movie Online Free

For instance, if a country was perceived in a dangerous fashion, many tourists will seek avoid it when planning their next trip. Even though they recognize that the movie was simply fiction, feelings of dread associated with the country will linger in people who watched the film.

How many people have stayed away from Mexico after seeing the story line of kidnaping in Man On Fire?

Movies are also used as marketing tools by placing products in the story line.

For instance, in the Transformer movie a Chevy Camaro was used as the main Transformer.

Millions of fans will now associate the Chevy Camaro with a fun filled, greater than life experience.

Movies can influence our thoughts even if we are aware of their brainwashing effect, so it is important to know beforehand what kind of a movie we are about to watch, and what its potential effect is on us. Watch Hannah Montana: The Movie Online Free

5 Best Blu-ray Movies of All Time

Sitting back on a nice comfortable leather couch, watching a high quality movie on a large screen TV is one of the great joys in life! If you have not experienced the astounding visual and audio display of a movie in 1080p high definition, then you really are missing out! I have compiled a must-have list of the 5 best Blu-ray movies of all time that would make a great gift for yourself or a special someone!

1. Flags of Our Fathers

If you are a fan of war movies like Platoon and Saving Private Ryan, Flags of Our Fathers definitely belongs in your collection. Directed by the great Clint Eastwood, the film recreates the battles on Iwo Jima in WWII and does a spectacular job at that.

2. Gladiator

A great epic movie set in the Roman days, this film keeps you glued to your seat for hours. As wonderful as it is to watch Maximus get his revenge for his families death, all the spectacular visuals actually make you feel like you are in the Colosseum in Rome! This is definitely one of my all time favorites!

3. Watchmen

Originally a comic style illustrated novel from the eighties, this movie is another visually stunning sight! It centers around a group of 'has been' super heros that come together to stop the end of mankind. Anyone that is a fan of the novel is sure to enjoy this big screen masterpiece.

4. Blade Runner

Originally released in 1982, this film flopped in theaters. It has since gathered an almost cult-like following, and i can see why. A favorite of many movie buffs, this science fiction film really is a thrill to watch. The vivid colors and high definition action scenes are brilliant! The story itself is about a special police officer called a blade runner that has come out of retirement to hunt down dangerous human-like rogue androids in 2019 Los Angeles. Still great after all these years, it holds a special spot in my collection.

5. I am Legend

This is a film adaptation of a 1954 science fiction novel by the same name. It is about a virus that destroys 99 percent of the worlds population, turning the rest into mutated zombies. Dr. Robert Neville is the only one immune to this virus and races to find a cure before the zombies get to him first.

Are you absolutly going to see STAR TREK (May 8, 2009) at the movie theatre? When did you become a fan?

I have been a fan of Star Trek since I saw the original Star Trek tv series (1966-69) when it was in syndication in the 1970's. I also enjoyed the first 6 Star Trek motion pictures (1979-91) with the original cast.

I will be there opening night.

I also became a fan by watching the original series. I had never seen such great writing and story telling. I was hooked. All the original 6 movies were fantastic as well. I have struggle to like the newer episodes and series, but I will see the new movie because it goes back to the roots of what makes Star Trek great.
